AZERBAIJAN-DUBAI RELATIONS ESTABLISHED IN ARBITRATION


On May 27, 2008, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Azerbaijan International Commercial Arbitration Court and the Dubai International Arbitration Center. Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Arbitration and Mediation Center (AAMM) Alida Mahmudova paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates on March 22-23, 2008, where she met with Hussam Al-Talhuni, Director of the Dubai International Arbitration Center. conducted.
During the talks, discussions were held on the conclusion of a bilateral cooperation agreement with the Center and the exchange of experience, information, training courses and joint international events in the field of arbitration, implementation of joint projects, BKAM's representation in the Association of Asian Regional Arbitration Institutions. .
The development of such relations in the field of arbitration can be considered as one of the factors that have a positive impact on the Azerbaijani-Dubai business environment and boosts the trust of business organizations.
It should be noted that the Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) is a center that offers high-quality arbitration services in the international arena. The Dubai International Arbitration Center was established under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Founded in 1994 as the Arbitration and Consultation Center, the current Dubai International Arbitration Center is an independent, permanent, non-profit institution.
Located on the 14th floor of the magnificent building of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), the Center offers special services to foreign and regional businesses at affordable prices. DIAC was established to create opportunities for commercial arbitration, to promote the settlement of disputes through arbitration, to develop the experience of arbitrators in the field of international arbitration.
As a center of institutional arbitration, the main activities of the Dubai International Arbitration Center are to ensure quality, flexible and impartial settlement of disputes, to appoint arbitrators, to determine the fees for arbitrators and consultants and the venue of arbitration.
The Dubai International Arbitration Center selects highly qualified and professional arbitrators. Information on experienced arbitrators and mediators from different countries can also be obtained from the Center. The Dubai International Arbitration Center also maintains a register of experts known for their practical experience and extensive knowledge in their respective fields.
