COOPERATION WITH THE GERMAN INSTITUTE OF ARBITRATION (DIS)
On September 1, 2006, the Azerbaijan International Commercial Arbitration Court concluded the first agreement in the field of mutual cooperation with the German Arbitration Institute. Within the framework of cooperation and exchange of information, DIS donated several scientific-practical books and magazines on international arbitration to the library of BKAM. BKAM also presented a collection of books and laws reflecting information about the legal system of Azerbaijan to the library of DIS. It should be noted that the German Arbitration Institute was established on January 1, 1992 on the basis of the merger of the German Arbitration Committee and the German Arbitration Institute and acts as the central body in Germany in all matters related to arbitration. The German Arbitration Institute works closely with leading German industry organizations, especially the Chambers of Industry and Commerce. The institute is headquartered in Cologne and has branches in Berlin and Munich. Since 1998, the German Arbitration Institute has been proposing arbitration rules that resolve international and domestic disputes and establish equal, equal opportunities for all economic sectors. In his congratulatory letter to the AAMM on the occasion of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Arbitration and Mediation Center and the 5th anniversary of the BKAM, Jens Bredov, Secretary General of the German Arbitration Institute, expressed hope for the continuation and development of existing fruitful and fruitful cooperation.
